my story

It happened quietly, one change at a time, after I moved.

New country, new water, new food, new hours. For a while I thought the tiredness was just the move. It was not.

The exhaustion came first, the kind that sleep does not touch. Then my hair started thinning, my weight stopped making sense, and my moods swung in ways I did not recognize. Bloodwork eventually gave it a name: Hashimoto's. Once I started paying attention, I realized my liver and gut had been asking for help for a long time too.

I started reading: modern books first, then Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, herbalism, and yogic texts on breath and the nervous system. Not to replace my doctor, but to understand the body I had been ignoring and to find a rhythm that a prescription alone could not give me.

What I found was not a miracle. It was balance: warm food, earlier nights, morning light, breath, and a slower relationship with my own days. This is an honest record of what I am reading, trying, and learning.
