The small things I do most days
None of these are dramatic. That is the point: healing lives in repetition, not intensity.
Warm water to start
Before anything else, warm water — sometimes with lemon or ginger. A gentle beginning instead of a shock.
A loose dinacharya
Consistent wake and sleep times, meals at steady hours, and light in the morning.
Abhyanga self-massage
A few minutes of warm-oil self-massage before a shower: small, calming, and part of the day.
Cooking with spices
Ginger, cumin, fennel, turmeric and coriander; warm, cooked, simple food over cold and raw.
Slow breathing
Nadi shodhana and long exhales when I am wound up — a practical way to make space in the day.
Eating with the season
Lighter in spring, cooling in summer, grounding and warm in colder months.
